Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style which combines R&B with gospel, soul music, and R&B. She has performed on Broadway, at the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine is a name that she has given her was Denise White. She is now a resident of Atlanta her birthplace was Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical path began at church where she sang and was a pianist. In Atlanta she was a student at Spellman College where her musical education began in the Atlanta's R&B Scene. In 2005, she became the drummer in Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her voice, asked Sunshine to join the Dreamgirls show during the Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine rose to prominence in the performances that took place over four days in 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine went on to sing during the 2009 Obama Inauguration.
