The debut album of Aaliyah Age Ain't Nothing but a Number came out in 1994. Her album, which was made available at just fifteen years old, went Gold. This collaboration was strongly influenced by R. Kelly, and made her a star in the spotlight. In 1996 she worked alongside Jermaine Dupri as well as Timbaland to release her second album One In A Million which included the top-rated hit song If Your Girl Only Knew. Aaliyah became a well-known R&B vocalist after the release. She was also on the screen in Romeo Must Die, a romantic action film with Jet-Li. She is the first generation Indian-American who was born in Connecticut. Mann is an abbreviation of her husband's first name Mankad. Aarti uses both Aarti Majumdar as well as Aarti Munn as her professional names. She began her acting career with minor TV and film roles, but her popularity grew during the middle 2000s. The actress has also been featured in Leverage, Suits, Grey's Anatomy as well as Grey's Anatomy. She also appeared in several commercials, including Volvo and other major automobile brand names. She is a resident of Los Angeles where she continues acting as an actress.
