Aaliyah Dana Haaughton rose to notoriety after she released her first album Age Ain't Nothing More Than a Number in 1994. The album came out as Gold when she was just 15 years old. This collaboration, heavily in the direction of R. Kelly's musical style, made her a star. In 1996 Jermaine and Timbaland made Aaliyah's album One In A Million. The album contained the single If Your Girls Only Knew the single that was most popular. Aaliyah gained international fame for her R&B vocals through this album. In 2000 she starred in the action and romance movie Romeo Must Die alongside martial artist Jet-Li. Joel Silver spotted her in an awards show. In 2002, she was in the Anne Rice-based movie about horror Queen of the Damned. In 2003, she was in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. The year 1999, 2001 2002 and 2003, the singer was nominated for four Grammy awards. Aarti Mann.....................Aarti Mann also known as Aarti Majumdar is an American actor who is best known for her portrayal of Priya Koothrappali in the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory. She is a first-generation Indian-American from Connecticut. Mann is a shortening of her married final name Mankad. Aarti uses both Aarti Majumdar and Aarti Munn as professional names. While she started out with minor TV and film performances, her acting career picked up momentum in the mid-2000s. The actress has also been featured in Leverage, Suits, Grey's Anatomy as well as Grey's Anatomy. She has also been featured in commercials of major brands like international car manufacturer Volvo. Her home is in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter. She continues to pursue her acting career.
