Aaliyah Daniel Haughton shot to fame in 1994 after her debut album Age Ain't Nothing but A Numer. The singer was barely 15 when the album became Gold. The group's collaboration heavily influenced R. Kelly's music, put her in the limelight. In the year 1996, Jermaine Durpri along with Timbaland joined forces to record her sophomore album One In A Million. The album included the song If Your Boyfriend only Knew as the single number one. The second album of Aaliyah called One in a million was released in 1996. It included the first hit single"If You Girl Only Knew. She made her debut in 2000. starred alongside the legendary martial artist Jet Li for the film Romeo Must Die. Her role came about when she was spotted by producer Joel Silver at an awards event. She was cast in the film based on Anne Rice, a vampire movie Queen of the Damned, that was released in 2002. She also starred as a character in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. She received four Grammy nominations from 1999 to 2003. Mann uses Aarti Man as well as Aarti Mahumdar for her stage name. Her acting career began in early 2000 with small appearances on television and in films. Apart from The Big Bang Theory, her notable other works include Leverage (2013) Suits (2014) as well as Grey's Anatomy (2017.) In addition, she was a part of several commercials including Volvo and other major automobile companies. She is a resident of Los Angeles where she continues to work as an actor.
