The debut album of Aaliyah Age Ain't Nothin but a Number came out in 1994. Aaliyah Danahaughton was only fifteen when her debut album was released as Gold. This collaboration was highly in the style of R. Kelly, and made her a star in the spotlight. In 1996, she released her second album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. The album featured the number one hit single If Your girl only knew. Aaliyah was recognized internationally for her work as an R&B performer with the release of her second album One in a Million. She starred with martial arts legend Jet Li in the 2000 romance-action film Romeo Must Die. Joel Silver spotted her in an awards show. Queen of the Damned was her first film role in 2002. The story is based on an Anne Rice novel. The Matrix Sequels was her first role in The Matrix Sequels. She has also been on The Matrix Reloaded (2003) and The Matrix Revolutions (2007). Aarti Mann is an Indian American of the first generation born in Connecticut. Mann, her stage name is an acronym for Mankad which is her name as a married surname. Aarti Magnumdar is her formal name, but she has also used Aarti Magumdar. While she started out with small TV and movie parts, her acting career began growing in popularity around the mid 2000s. The actress has also been featured in Leverage, Suits, Grey's Anatomy and Grey's Anatomy. She has also been featured in commercials for big brands such as international automobile manufacturer Volvo. She currently lives with her family in Los Angeles along with her wife, son and daughter. She also pursues her acting career.
