Aaliyah Dana Haaughton rose to notoriety after she released the album she dubbed Age Ain't Nothing More Than an Number in 1994. At the time, she was just 15 years old. when the album was released and it became Gold. The collaboration was highly inspired by R. Kelly, and put the singer onto the scene. In 1996 she collaborated with Jermaine Dpri and Timbaland for her sophomore studio album One In A Million, that included the top-selling song If Your Girl only Knew. The second album of Aaliyah, One in a Million came out in the year 1996. It contained the number-one smash single, If Your Girl Only Knew. The year 2000 saw her starred alongside the martial arts icon Jet Li in Romeo Must Die. Joel Silver, the film producer, saw her during the awards ceremony and kindly offered her the part. In 2002 she got to play the film vampire Queen of the Damned which was inspired by The Anne Rice novel. The year 2003 saw her starred in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. The artist received four Grammy nominations from 1999 to 2003. The actress is from Indian origin and was born in Connecticut. Mann is an abbreviation of her husband's first name Mankad. She uses Aarti Mann and Aarti Majumdar for her professional names. She began her acting career as a minor actor in TV and film performances, but her fame was growing in the late 2000s. Alongside The Big Bang Theory, the other shows she has starred in are Leverage (2013) Suits (2014) as well as Grey's Anatomy (2017.) She's also appeared in major commercials of brands such as Volvo, an international auto producer. She lives in Los Angeles along with her husband, daughter and pursues her acting profession.
