Aaliyah Dana Haughton burst into fame in 1994 after she released her debut Album Age Ain't nothing but A Number. When she was just 15 the album was awarded Gold recognition. R. Kelly was a key influence on the collaboration which put the singer into the spotlight. In 1996, she teamed up with Jermaine Dpri and Timbaland on her second studio album One In A Million, featuring the number one hit track If Your Girl Only Knew. Aaliyah received international recognition for her R&B songs through the release of this album. In 2000, she co-starred with the legendary martial artist Jet Li in Romeo Must Die. Aarti is a combination of Aarti Majumdar and Aarti Munn as professional names. Though she started her career with minor TV and film parts, her acting career started to gain growth in the latter half of 2000s. Her other notable projects include Grey's Anatomy, Suits and Leverage. The actress also appeared in a variety of commercials, including Volvo and many other major car brand names. She is a resident of Los Angeles where she continues to work as an actress.
